Welcome and greetings.

We are the voluntary arm of the Ambulance Service who attend life threatening 999 calls within our local community here in Sittingbourne and the surrounding villages.

On our site you will find information about
who we are, news of our adventures and some other stuff too which we hope you find useful.

Considering becoming a Responder?

Please take a look at our 'Thinking of Joining?' page.  It'll tell you about the types of call we would attend, about the recruitment process and what it means to be a Responder.

How we are funded.

We rely purely on donations and receive no funding from the government or the NHS.  So please find out about the fundraising activity we do by visiting our 'Fundraising Page'.  You'll also find information about our 'Sponsor a Defibrillator' scheme here.

Guest Book

You guessed it (do you see what I did there!), we'd like you to leave us a message and let us know you've been here on the Guestbook page.

Hot off the press
  • A Little Bird

Everyone's doing it - no, nothing involving a bad habit relating to cleaning your own nose - that would be inappropriate.  It's Twitter, we're on it - @SittiResponders

  • We Are Recruiting!

We are currently looking for new CFR's across parts of kent. If you want to get involved in helping those in need across your community then have a look around our site and then follow the link to the NHS jobs site to read more and apply.

110 Is The Magic Number

Did you know the most effective speed to perform chest compression when doing CPR is a rate of 110 per minute - or call it 2 a second if you haven't got a metronome to set the pace.
